Speech Language Pathologist, Board Certified Behavior Analyst, Hanen Therapist and certified with Picture Exchange Communication (PECS)

 

She attended LSU from 1989 to 1994 and graduated with a BS in Communication Sciences and Disorders. She then attended Southeastern Louisiana University and graduated with a Master of Science in Speech Language and Hearing in 1997. She went to the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada for her Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) coursework.

 

She has worked in a variety of settings including hospitals, schools, long-term care facilities, and private practices in rural and urban environments. Some places include Los Angeles, Charlotte, Vancouver BC, New York City, and New Orleans. In 2007, she worked as the speech pathologist in the Classroom Assistance for Atypical Behavior (CAAB) team in St. Tammany Parish with consultation provided by Dr. Timothy Vollmer. It was at this time that she became interested in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). She was supervised by Richard Stock and took coursework under Pat Mirenda. In 2009, she moved to New York, New York and worked as a behavior interventionist at the Carbone Clinic.
